So the past 2 days my wife and I have been making multiple trips back and forth, moving boxes and boxes of our stuff into our new house. This Saturday we're getting a U-Haul to move the larger stuff like couches, beds, tables, desks, and our washer and dryer. Today Sears delivered and installed the fridge we had to buy since the house didn't come with it. I also purchased paint and the necessary tools to do that (she wants to paint like every room before we actually move in), and stuff to build a temporary fence with lattice cuz it's cold as balls around here and we don't want to have to take the dog out every time she needs to go potty. For some reason my right thumb is swollen too, I must've slammed it against a wall or door as I was hauling out or loading a heavy box or something. I'm doing all this while it's also been finals week for me and I have a project due that's due tomorrow night, along with the daily dose of Yugz. So life has been hectic to say the least!
Due to doing our big-stuff move on Saturday, I won't be able to play at Lightning. However chances are good that I can officially switch my go-to local to Board Game Nation; I'm actually already excited about playing there again, this time on a regular basis.
Speaking of playing, I've been having a lot of internal struggle about continuing to play Karakuri. I guess I am still reeling from my loss against Rob from last weekend. I've lost to Rob multiple times so it's not even that, it's the combination of: the complete shut-down that I experienced at the hands of Fossil Dyna, Nate winning the tournament with Jankents, and Cody doing very well at his regional with Jankents as well (although he has 2 Maxx C, while Nate has none). I figure if these guys can do well with janky Agents, surely I can do just as well, if not better, with one running Guides, T-Kings, and the maximum Maxx C count. This was apparent in my multi-week undefeated reports, even though I have to mention I didn't have to play other Team O members lol. For Karakuri to summon a boss monster, it usually requires 2 cards, whether they be Cyber Dragon + Tuner, Komachi + 4-star, or something else of the like. A simple Book of Moon play stops you from getting out your boss monster. In Agents, there are a lot of 1-card boss monsters/outs that only need an Agent or light+dark monsters in the grave, or a simple normal summon of Tour Guide. Compare Burei to Hyperion - they both have great effects, but it's so much easier to plus with Hyperion and Hyperion is basically a 0-card investment (besides itself) while Burei is usually 2. Hyperion is a lot less susceptible to Maxx C as well (unless your opponent Dustshoot'd or just has a very good read). Maxx C can stop the synchro'ing of Burei altogether, and will also most likely stop you from special summoning via its effect. I don't like that.
I also figure, "why not run the damn Tour Guides while I still have them? There are people that would kill (not literally obv) to play them, and here I am, with them, choosing not to run them - how does that make sense?" It's rather pointless to have $450 worth of cards just to not use them, especially when they are just that damn good. Theoretically I should be milking all I can from them. I guess at the end of the day I'd be selling myself out, but realistically, should I even give a crap? It goes back to our team mentality of playing the best with what you got. If you have to build something and own the fancy and efficient tools, it'd be wiser to use them instead of the ol' hammer and nail, right? Yea, I can "prove to myself" that I can do it without the fancy tools, but at the end of the day, what does that buy me other than some sense of self-satisfaction? In Yugz, it doesn't matter if you win with a $100 deck or a $1000 deck; a win is a win, as long as you didn't cheat or something like that. You may get a moment of self-satisfaction from winning with that $100 deck and maybe some "oh snap"s from other people, but the next round or that next weekly tournament will always go on.
So that's what's been going on for me mentally, I dunno, maybe I'll still run Karakuri and just tweak my main and side to not get completely destroyed by Fossil Dyna+backrows lol. Or run Agent for one tourney and Karakuri for the other.
I may not be posting anything for the next few days until I get signed up for internet at our new place, especially since I'm not playing this weekend. I also want to get working on that article for ARG's article contest as well.

Team O Player Interviews - Part 5 (Zach)
Whats good yugioh world, my name is Zach. I've been been playing yugioh since the beginning and a member of team overload since 2007. I've won multiple sneaks and have never done bad at a regional. My best place is ninth (top 8 is for losers).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. How long have you been playing this game, and when did you start playing competitively?
Since the beginning and started competitively around 07 when I joined team o.
2. What "kind" of player would you consider yourself, or what is your particular play style? Aggressive vs conservative vs mixture, original vs strict net-deck, budget vs "money is no object", bling vs everything common, etc.
Well I'm a tool box player, meaning I love decks that come together with all the above. Aggro, conserv, etc. I've always played blackwing, gbs, things like that. So whatever the deck does I learn it very quickly. I'm currently playing Karakuri and won the first tourney I played it in so.
3. What do your think about net-decking? Does it hurt or help a player's ability to play the game?
Net decking is awesome. It's what makes yugioh go round. It's how us players know what's going on and gives us ideas for our own decks. Without netdecking yugioh would have no consistency. Rob said it best. Good players netdeck and research. Netdecking=Winning.
4. What do you think of the current format? If favorable, what do you like about it? If unfavorable, what is it you don't like about it?
I personally like the format. Cards are expensive but it makes it so good players stay good lol. And I can sell one card and buy a new fitted. And you don't have to play the top deck to win....just one of the top three ha.
5. What is your current main deck and why do you run that deck?
My current deck is Karakuri and I really like it. I don't have tour guides so my team mate Mike said that its the best deck without tgu's. And well it is. Its also the best deck in the format to side with imo.
6. What was the first holo you ever pulled out of a pack?
When I first started I didn't know what packs were so when I did I bought LOD packs and pulled yamata dragon!!! fuck yeah.
7. What is your favorite format/deck of all time?
Tele-dad by far hands down. My deck was like 2000$ or more and I loved the consistency of the deck. Did awesome with it.
8. What do you think of reprints of expensive cards/reprints in general?
Sometimes it pisses me off. But the game needs it so good players with not a lot of cash can still compete.
9. If there was one thing that you could change about the game, what would it be?
I would put the d-draw engine back. And take pointless cards off the ban list.
10. If there was one thing that you could change about your own ability to play, what would it be?
Side decking. I haven't played a full format with the same deck in a while so I have a hard time knowing what to take out of the deck while maintaining synergy in the build.
11. A lot of players online raged at the news that Black Luster Soldier and Heavy Storm were coming off the ban list. How do you currently feel about both of them being back in the game?
People are retarded. Yes he's broke. And you can top it for the W. But you can do that with many cards so who gives a f? Summon BLS...bottomless, warning, torrential, mirror force, d-priz...c'mon guys. He's not going anywhere.
12. Do you think Black Luster Soldier will be re-banned in March? Why/why not?
Refer to question 11.
13. If you could play against any one "pro"/big-name YuGiOh player, who would it be?
I would play Dale Bellido. One pro who doesn't cheat and is a badass..... I love you dale.......
14. What do you think of the current state of Spokane-area (Spokane, Valley, CDA) YuGiOh?
Well imo the best players are located in the west coast. And along with that comes my team who are all really good. Except Epler.
15. If there was one thing that you could say to the Spokane-area playerbase, what would it be?
"We takin over, one tourney at a time"™

Team O Player Interviews - Part 4 (Rob)
Rob was the co-captain of Team Overload until he took a break from the game and I took over his position. He's done a lot for the team and has always been someone we could go to and rely on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. How long have you been playing this game, and when did you start playing competitively?
I've been playing since about 2004, when I first met Zac-he's the one who initially got me into the game. I didn't start playing competitivley until about 2007-when I met Danny-he's the one who got me to the competitive level.
2. What "kind" of player would you consider yourself, or what is your particular playstyle? Aggressive vs conservative vs mixture, original vs strict net-deck, budget vs "money is no object", bling vs everything common, etc.
Well, I think I am more of a mixture, but if I had to choose, I would say I'm more aggressive. I like to push for game when it looks like the right time. I am defintely a netdecker. I play to win. I would rather have the secret rares be a lil cheaper, but overall cards need to be pricey, to make the game itself have some value to it.
3. What do your think about net-decking? Does it hurt or help a player's ability to play the game?
Copying and learning the top decks is how you become a top player. There's nothin wrong with being original, but I play to be the best I can, and to win. There's a reason those decks are the top decks, cause they're the best. So netdecking=winning.
4. What do you think of the current format? If favorable, what do you like about it? If unfavorable, what is it you don't like about it?
I like it, I haven't been able to play the top decks, yet, but its way better than the last few formats we've had.
5. What is your current main deck and why do you run that deck?
Right now its anti-meta. I run it because its pretty good, and I don't have Tour Guides. lol. Soon I will be buying a dinorabbit deck so I will run that. It def looks like the most broken deck of this format.
6. What was the first holo you ever pulled out of a pack?
No idea lol. I know the 1st holo I ever got was a blue eyes white dragon.
7. What is your favorite format/deck of all time?
Teledad. A deck I dropped lots of cash for, and won alot with. I was very dominant with that deck, I miss it.
8. What do you think of reprints of expensive cards/reprints in general?
They're good. Just cause I know getting a Tour Guide reprint now would piss some people off, but there are certain cards from 5-10 sets ago that people might need, and have to put too much effort into getting. Those cards shouldn't be hard to get now-therefore reprints are good, just not too soon.
9. If there was one thing that you could change about the game, what would it be?
A little less diversity in decks, and a little less reprints. Too many decks can win-a problem because no one wants to see a bad player get lucky. Plus your deck has more of a chance to not do so good when you could face 10 different decks in a tournament, with the reprints, no one wants to see a noob playin with 3 tourguides and 3 rescue rabbits. enuff said.
10. If there was one thing that you could change about your own ability to play, what would it be?
Right now it'd prolly be sidedecking ability. Normally its not a problem, but now, especially at a local tournament, its hard to know what to sideck for. Anyone could be playing anything.
11. A lot of players online raged at the news that Black Luster Soldier and Heavy Storm were coming off the ban list. How do you currently feel about both of them being back in the game?
Its great. Who out there doesnt like them back? They both are good, but not banworthy, right now.
12. Do you think Black Luster Soldier will be re-banned in March? Why/why not?
Naww, at least I hope not. Its definetly a good card, but its not the star of the format. I think it helps balance this format, and hopefully the next one.
13. If you could play against any one "pro"/big-name YuGiOh player, who would it be?
I don't really know. At this point it looks like most top players are cheaters. Right now probably Billy Brake. 2 ycs in a row. The dude most be doin somethin right.
14. What do you think of the current state of Spokane-area (Spokane, Valley, CDA) YuGiOh?
Its pretty divided. But if everyone went to one torunament, we'd have alot of competition. There are some good players here.
15. If there was one thing that you could say to the Spokane-area playerbase, what would it be?
This is a competitve game. Always play to win.

ORCS Hype
In about 4 weeks from now, we will get the Sneak for ORCS. I don't think the Sneak card has been revealed yet, but I know there is a lot of hype for this set, just like there was for PHSW. People were hyped on Rabbit, Laggia, and Dolkka for last set, so what are people hyping for this set? I'd say the first and foremost thing is Tour Bus. Will it be broken enough to potentially cause Tour Guide's price to increase, will it expedite the Guide reprint, or will it just be kinda meh/bad? Too early to tell with the effect still not known.
Next on the list of hype is the new Inzektor archetype. I've done a little reading for them and seen a little of them in action on DN, seen some OCG tournament results, and it seems like something that will only get better over time. Just because they may not necessarily be tier 1 upon release, doesn't mean they won't be after a few more sets (remember GB, GK, and BW?). However the fact that they're getting tops in OCG land already most likely will mean that they'll be good here. Maybe not necessarily the best, but good. Remember back when people would always wish that Konami would make more Insect and Dinosaur support? I just kinda lol to myself thinking about how we used to think "oh they'll never make Insects or Dinosaurs good" back in the day, but given enough time, you never know.
We have Ninjas next, and I have to admit I really haven't done any research into them yet. I played against one a day or two ago on DN with Karakuri, but it seriously didn't do anything note-worthy. The best play he did was summon the Hanzo guy, then I trounced it next turn or two. My guess is that Inzektor will be a better deck than Ninja, if only for the facts that 1) Haven't seen any Ninja decks top OCG tourneys. 2) Seen a lot less of it on DN (compared to Inzektor) and 3) Haven't seen as much hype on the forums for them (again, compared to Inzektor). Regardless, in both archetype's cases, we also have to consider that they could easily get some TCG exclusive that absolutely sets them over-the-top.
Rounding out my list is Trance Archfiend, the support card for Dark World. My buddy from Texas, Brandon, is pretty hyped for this card, but he always over-hypes new cards. I remember him going crazy over Codarus when it came out; how much play has that card gotten since it came out lol. I see this card as being pretty good, but not sure how it'll incorporate itself into current DW builds. Does it take over the Raven spot? Some builds now don't even run Raven, so what will it replace? Is it better to run this over Tour Guide? If you get too many non-DW cards in there, that can hinder the natural flow of the deck. Lots of things to consider, so again, I think it's kinda hard to tell how it'll affect DW and thus the game in general.
Speaking of DW, I went over to Danny's today for a little bit of testing against him and Shiggs, and I built up the build Claudio Kirchmar posted on DGz's DW thread. It's basically a "turbo" version that runs Reckless Greeds and Upstart Goblins, as well as max Dealings. The games that I could get stuff rolling, it did what it's built to do, but the games that I just sat there with a hand full of monsters or a hand full of S/T's, I seriously just said "your go" turn after turn. Maybe I wasn't playing it right, but what can I do with a hand of 2 Snoww, 2 Beige, Broww, and Grapha? Hope that they're playing GK and Royal Tribute me? lol. I know things like that aren't "of the norm" at all, since the deck only runs 14 monsters, but meh, I just think DW in general is too easily handled games 2 and 3.
We will most likely be getting a case of this like we did for PHSW, but may just hold box tourneys with the boxes instead of gambling by hoping to pull good stuff. If we manage to get only 10 people to enter at $10 per entry, that's $100 per box, which only costs $58 in the first place. If we get the word out enough I don't think a 15 person tourney would be unreasonable at all, and that becomes a very good profit margin. In the case of guaranteed profit vs profit from taking a risk, guaranteed profit is usually the better option. The only concern is how often can we effectively hold box tourneys in order to get rid of a whole case? I'd rather enter a $10 box tourney over a $5 normal local any day of the week 24/7, but surely not everyone would be willing to do that.
The last thing I wanted to bring up about ORCS was the upped release date. With ORCS Sneak being on Jan 14/15th, and the PHSW one was Nov 5/6, that's less than 2 months between set releases. I don't think any explanation has been given regarding why we're getting the next set a month earlier than normal. Is this something we can expect for future sets? If only for this set, why? Is Konami wanting to just pump out more sets to make more money? How is this gonna affect everyone if in every set we get some broke $100+ Secret Rare? These tactics are just gonna blow up in their face eventually. I know I'm not willing to spend $300+ on a playset of some broke card I need to stay competitive every 2 months, and most players are probably in the same exact boat. I may be over-thinking it and it's a lot to consider, but it's something we shouldn't just ignore.
In other news, our new house is officially ours tomorrow. Just got done signing up for power and waste, all I need now is cable/internet. I will be a resident of Spokane Valley, which is great news since I will be very close to Board Game Nation, and I see no reason why I couldn't make the Monday tourneys on a weekly basis. I'll be much closer to the rest of the team as well, so hopefully we can get more real-life testing in and just hang out more in general. I'll also be much closer to Lightning, but not sure if I'll make the trip out there anymore if I'm easily able to make it to BGN. Realistically I probably still will, just cuz I really enjoy playing the game right now.
EDIT: Oh forgot to mention, apparently there will be 2 Chaos Sorcerer in the Dragonic Legion deck, which accounts for the 40th card.

There are only 39 cards listed on Shriek and Wiki; not sure which card will be the 2-of or if there's simply a card missing. I don't see why they'd fail to list one card though since they clearly have pretty much the entire deck spoiled, so I'm fairly sure it's just a case of there being double of something. So we finally get to cross Lyla off the list of desired reprints, I thought it was kinda weird they combined Lightsworn with this deck but I suppose it makes sense from a stand-alone deck perspective. Mill dragons with Lightsworn. I suppose it's nice getting a few of these reprints but a lot of the stuff is stuff that would've been nice to have a few formats ago and not really relevant now. I'll more than likely hold off from buying any of this structure deck, simply cuz I'm not interested in Dragons as an archetype nor do I need any of the reprints. I don't own any Lylas, but I probably wouldn't run it in any main or side of any decks I currently have anyways, so what's the point. I don't imagine the "Dragons Collide" deck getting changed any when we finally get it. So for those longing to own a Lyla all this time, here ya go (most likely).
Shout-outs to Cody for getting 9th at this weekend's San Antonio regionals. He ran TG Agents. He told me he was the only person out of the top 12 to not run any Tour Guides, Spicer got 6th (w/ Chaos), and Billy Brake, along with the rest of the guys from Corpus, scrubbed out. He said Spicer said the Chaos deck was pretty much terrible, but it topdecks godly. This was the same assessment that Danny and I arrived at from our testing. Earlier this week I tested with Cody on DN to help him out the best I could. He showed me his decklist, and it looked pretty solid, but my recommendation was to take Kristya and probably Creature Swap out. I mentioned that Chaos Sorcerer was pretty boss and he wanted to run a 3rd TG Striker so he went with those changes for his regional deck. He was rather hesitant about dropping Kristya but I presented my logical standpoint of it; it's a hell of a lot easier to summon, can remove a problem card on-the-spot, and you can synch it for solid level 7's or 8's. It's basically another copy of an easy-to-summon boss monster. I asked him if he missed having Kristya and if Chaos Sorcerer was any good for him, he said "Sorcerer won me like 5 games so no I didn't miss Kristya." Glad I could help :) Cody has come a long way as a player since I first played him in Texas, so I'm proud to see that he's earned his invite!
It seems like Danny, Rob, and Zach are all wanting to play Rabbit now, even though Danny's still the only one to have the Tour Guides. I think the Tour Guide->Leviair->Rabbit play is too good not to have if you're running the deck, since it's basically just another 1-card Laggia/Dolkka, but if anyone can make it work it's Rob and Zach.

Locals Report 12-3-11; Lightning Comics
Last night I was bored out of my mind and Rob texted me asking me if I could pick him up to go to Lightning, which was fine with me. I warned him and Zach that I had a feeling that my wife would be crazy and demand that I be back around 6:30pm or so, and I hate having to be in the situation where I have to drop from a tourney especially if I'm doing well. Both of them were fine with it so that was cool.
So my morning starts around 7am because my wife gets me up to help order curtains online with her for our house. I'm like yea that's exactly what I want to do at 7am. She finally leaves for work around 8:20 and wants me to make a copy of this Josh Groban+Glee Christmas CD I burned for her last year so I do that, make the bed, do 35 minutes worth of dishes, about 30 minutes worth of packing, and then take a shower, grab my stuff and leave. I had wanted to watch Thursday's Beavis & Butt-Head episodes and work on my decks and stuff since I had my stuff, but there was just too much to do this morning.
I head out around 10:30 since I had to stop by the post office to mail off a Pojo trade and pick up Epler's Hunter Dragons I ordered for him. On the drive over I was messing with my watch, and the little band that keeps the extra wristband from flinging around everywhere broke. I seem to go through a watch a year cuz of the little band thing breaking. I then head to the ATM to withdraw $100 since Kim said he had wanted to sell some stuff, but the damn dispenser or whatever was broken so I had to find another ATM to withdraw money. This just wasn't my morning. I finally find a working ATM and withdrew what I wanted.
I get to Rob's but completely brain-farted that I was 100 off the address number so I was just parked in front of this random house for like 5 minutes. He texted me and told me he was waiting outside and I was like derp I'm at the wrong place so I find the right address and pick him up. We talk about the blog and Yugz on our way to pick up Zach. We get to Zach's and surprisingly it doesn't take 15 minutes for him to come out lol. We're all hungry so we drive over to Jack in the Box, and I explain that I can't eat their Extreme Sausage Sandwich Sandwiches anymore lol. We took a little while to order and the drive-thru lady was giving me attitude, I was like hold the frick on but we get our food and finally head out to CDA. A few miles out the highway became 1 lane, which pretty much stopped the flow of traffic completely. I think we sat there for 10 minutes but it felt like eternity, and once we could go we went a whole 20mph. The other 2 lanes looked perfect, I dunno why it had to become 1 lane, and no one was working on the other lanes anyway. Hate that shit.
During the ride over there was a lot of "oh you gotta put this in the blog" but now I don't even remember what all happened lol. Some conversation about Yugz and sports I believe and Zach singing random songs. The drive felt like it took forever, didn't help that there were so many slow-ass people driving.
We get to Lightning around 12:20 and there's like hardly anyone there this week compared to last. Surprisingly Nate was there so we hug it out and then I go over to Epler to give him the Hunter Dragons. I sit down and tweak my side to include the 2 System Downs, which I never ended up using anyway. Between Zach and Jeff I thought I'd be using them, but Jeff didn't show up this week and I didn't get paired against Zach. Rob buys some cards off me and I give Nate some common staples to help complete his deck a little bit more. I just chill until the pairings get posted. There's a total of 9 people this week, which is strange since there were 16-18 people last week, and we have 5 Team O members this week and only 2 last week. I think it had to do with people being back for Thanksgiving last weekend, I dunno.
Round 1 I get paired against Rob. Awesome.
Round 1 vs Rob (Anti-Meta)
Fossil Dyna backed by traps is pretty much MVP against Karakuri, and T-King and Doomcal don't help either. I lose the di roll. Game 1 I remember getting poked a lot by Dyna, then eventually it was 2 Dyna and a T-King and I just couldn't do anything. Game 2 Rob gets in a situation where he has a Stardust and a Banisher out and I Mirror Force. We're both around the 1400 LP mark and I think I win with Komachi and 4-star (don't remember). I'm supposed to remember that there was this random guy watching our game and we're all like "who tf is that guy?" Game 3 was a lot like the first game, Dyna pretty much putting in work, I also walk right into a Starlight Road with my Heavy, I knew it was pretty much over after that.
0-1
Round 2 vs Zach (not Team O) (Monarch?)
I think he was running his dad's deck (Eric) cuz he played Battle Fader and Jinzo. I love seeing Jinzo on the field cuz that means I can go off with my Karakuri shenanigans. Landoise is pretty boss in this match-up too so I 2-0 him with very little trouble.
1-1
Round 3 vs Matt (Zombie)
Remember my interview question where I talked about how a "Zombie" deck doesn't need to run sub-par cards like Call of the Mummy? Well turn 1 he plays it and I'm like "oh god" and just chuckle to myself. I think his field is Call, Zombie Master, some derka, and a facedown. I'm like screw it so I go Komachi+Soldier for Black Rose blow-up and I knew it'd go off. His facedown was a Sak Armor. After that the game was pretty much mine. I don't bother siding, game 2 was more or less the same, Burei+Kuick putting in work and generating plus's.
2-1
This was the round that Zach was playing Colin, I was sitting next to Colin and he had a hand full of Gadgets, at one point his field is like Gadget, a set Ultimate Offering and a Torrential. Zach has a Burei and some derka out I think and goes into Brionac with not many cards in hand left, taking priority on the 2 backrow. Colin picks up his backrow and I'm just like O_O. Once the game was over I was like "why didn't you activate Torrential??" I guess he thought you couldn't activate it or something after Brionac used his effect. He was mad salty after that, even though he said he wasn't ;)
Round 4 vs Colin (UO Gadgets)
When I open with Neutron and search Komachi he was like "great, the same deck" lol. I don't remember too many of the specifics but I take the first game without that much trouble. I think I've played against his deck enough times to the point where I can basically guess what his plays are gonna be. Game 2 was a little tougher since I was drawing more of the S/T removal I sided in than monsters. At one point I was at 800 and he tributes for Caius, but fortunately he targets my Bottomless instead of Caius itself, I'm like whew. We go back and forth a little but he keeps attacking my Soldiers and letting me get Kuick which leads to Burei+Kuick and I win. He was visibly frustrated losing to 2 Karakuri back to back lol.
3-1
So I watch the final match between Zach and Nate, the 2 undefeateds left. Nate won the first game, and I started watching around mid-game of game 2. After Zach hit with Gorz twice, they were both around the ~1800-2000 mark. Nate ends up Compulsing Gorz. Zach is like +4 or 5 on Nate, a face-up TKing (I think) and has a facedown D-Pris. Nate has a backrow card that's been down for a long time with no cards in hand. He topdecks Monster Reborn, activates MST, Reborns for Hyperion, pops TKing, and swings for game. Man I felt salty about that and I wasn't even the one playing lol.
So Nate wins, Rob gets 2nd, Zach gets 3rd and I get 4th (unfortunately only top 3 get prizes v_v). Nice having an all Team O top 4 though, can't complain about that. Not to take anything away from Nate but I found it remarkable that he won with a straight Agent build (no Guide, no TKing, no TG) and hadn't played in a tourney for months. I'm still very surprised how good Fossil Dyna is, since I've never played it myself nor have I played against it that much in the past (too hard to find back in the day and I think Danny was the only one that had them/ran them). In retrospect I probably should've sided more S/T removal in against Rob, theoretically even something like Karakuri Soldier can take out a Dyna if it doesn't have to worry about getting D-Prison'd. I think anything with T-King, Doomcal, and Dyna is just a bad match-up for Karakuri in general. If he had the Maxx C's that'd just be complete lockdown.
Rob picks up stuff for Rabbit.dek and now just needs the last Rabbit and some Dolkkas but Danny almost has it built too. Zach has the Rabbit they both need, it'll most likely go to Danny though. Rob buys the last Galaxy Eyes tin and pulls an Infected Mail, and I get Nate's email address so I can send him the interview questions. Kim never showed up, I'm glad I had to pay the ATM surcharge to withdraw money just for him to not come lol. We drop Nate off at Donut's house, then we head to Carl's Jr for food. I wasn't hungry so I passed. The drive-thru chic was pretty funny since Zach was BS'ing with her, but it took a freakin long time cuz something was wrong with the pop machine's Dr. Prepreh that Zach wanted. She blamed it on Jim Numbnuts lol. We finally get the food, I drop off Zach, then go to Danny's so I can leave my stuff with him while I finish up packing and move next weekend. Alan is there so I get his e-mail address as well. Drop Rob off, and that's a day! I know there was a lot of stuff that I was "supposed" to include in the blog but I think I got the major highlights. It's impossible for me to remember every minute detail lol.

Team O Player Interviews - Part 3 (Danny)
Danny is the founder and leader of Team Overload, and one of my closest personal friends ever of ~7 years.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. How long have you been playing this game, and when did you start playing competitively?
I would say way too long but not as long as Steve. I think he was there when they open the first pack.
2. What "kind" of player would you consider yourself, or what is your particular playstyle? Aggressive vs conservative vs mixture, original vs strict net-deck, budget vs "money is no object", bling vs everything common, etc.
I used to be very conservative and that won me a lot of games but when I first made my comeback to yugioh I got my backside handed to me. I was way too conservative. So now I am both and what I mean is when I conserve when I need to aggro when my opponent is knowingly weak or bluffing just depends to be honest. I'm a net deck I leave it to the pros I don't have time to play test. I buy what I need to be the best but I common the shit out of my deck.
3. What do your think about net-decking? Does it hurt or help a player's ability to play the game?
3. What do your think about net-decking? Does it hurt or help a player's ability to play the game?
Net decking won me a regionals nuff said.
4. What do you think of the current format? If favorable, what do you like about it? If unfavorable, what is it you don't like about it?
Love the format money means dominance and that's how it should be. Bring back the days of teledad separate the strong from the weak.
5. What is your current main deck and why do you run that deck?
5. What is your current main deck and why do you run that deck?
Billy Brake plants very consistent beats any deck. I changed Caius and Veiler for Reaper and third Rai-Oh. I never liked plants at all but Link convinced me it was the best deck and haven't looked back since.
6. What was the first holo you ever pulled out of a pack?
6. What was the first holo you ever pulled out of a pack?
Come on Mike that was along time ago I'm not Steve who has the first card he pulled mounted over his fire place how could I remember that.
7. What is your favorite format/deck of all time?
Therosaak Poonsabont destiny hero lol I think I butchered his name. Fast and dominating look it up lol. Deck known as t hero.
8. What do you think of reprints of expensive cards/reprints in general?
Reprints are straight fucking up the game I hate spending 100 dollars on something and have it drop down to like nothing and some cents they're gonna make me quit some day but not convert to magic no way lmao. Magic tournaments seem so much darker than the bright and colorful yugioh tourneys. MERLYN'S SO DARK AND COLD.
9. If there was one thing that you could change about the game, what would it be?
To get thru the heads of people who think they are better then me or any of my teammates and what I mean is you can beat someone a 100 times and if they win once they think they are way better then you. Its just hella funny too for people to think my team is dead that will never happen. I only go after the best and work on those who I think can be better.
10. If there was one thing that you could change about your own ability to play, what would it be?
Just tighten up my side deck and what to side out. I think its the only reason why I ever lose to be honest.
11. A lot of players online raged at the news that Black Luster Soldier and Heavy Storm were coming off the ban list. How do you currently feel about both of them being back in the game?
Aaaaaaamazing. I hate players who hide behind traps and black luster is so boss I would bow down to the motherfucker if he were real.
12. Do you think Black Luster Soldier will be re-banned in March? Why/why not?
12. Do you think Black Luster Soldier will be re-banned in March? Why/why not?
No cause Heavy fixes the game from 15 trap formats and luster is not as boss like the old days too much things stopping it now.
13. If you could play against any one "pro"/big-name YuGiOh player, who would it be?
Ummmmmmmmmm lets see Fili Luna cause I think that dude is one of the best players if not the best ever. 4 shonen jumps come on for reals.
14. What do you think of the current state of Spokane-area (Spokane, Valley, CDA) YuGiOh?
Andrew fucked it up I swear to you tournament numbers were at 30 people and he fucking brought them down to nothing at times. Now the tourneys have split up and yugioh sucks in Washington I heard that fuck plays magic now. Fuck you by the way come see me in a fight if you ever dare you faggot. Suck Ians dick by the way BITCH. GOOD CHOICE UNCLE'S ON YOUR TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER. He organized it into the ground; all that hard work I started, for nothing.
15. If there was one thing that you could say to the Spokane-area playerbase, what would it be?
The game is in a state of emergency and if we keep making separate tournaments yugioh will not exist in Spokane any more. Me and my team always have regionals and farther places but I'm trying to keep the game in Spokane. Please come down to Board Game Nation look us up and we will do all we can to make you better.
